The chapter went good until Rosenbögen decided to run up all the stairs again, in total costing me a full minute!. Would have taken a long time to shoot them in a normal way. I made a so called nuke with a AR grenade to nuke all the wood cleavers. Geared up for coming unavoidable yard fights. At the next button to lower the elevator, I found out that I could bug gib all the alien slaves on it with higher framerate. Work your way around to the opening on the far side of the ring. After pushing the button to open the port I jumped outside the platform to avoid the trigger who spawn an alien slave. Dispatch of the pups and use the rocks on the far left to reach the upper level encircling the area. But it also saves a decent amount of time. Requires a really decent circlejump to cross the big gap. But still restrict myself to not reach the speed cap. If you want a more entertaining run with lots of tricks and perfect execution, search for a segmented Blue Shift speedrun by quadrazid and rayvex. This run is not very good or entertaining in my opinion. I managed to beat it by 30 seconds after 7.7 hours of gameplay logged to my steam account. Many reviewers were critical of the short length of the game and the lack of new content, although the inclusion of a High Definition pack that upgraded the models and textures in both Blue Shift and the preceding Half-Life games was praised.The main goal with this run was to beat the previous segmented one with a single-segment. The game received mixed although mostly positive reception. After a scientific mishap causes Black Mesa to be invaded by aliens, Calhoun must fight his way to safety.
